In the process of painting “October Melancholy”

About Me

Hi, my name is Tatiana. I’m an artist from Richmond, Virginia, where I’ve always appreciated the area’s natural beauty and tranquility. As a curious and adventurous soul, I love exploring new places and often find inspiration for my art in my travels.
Growing up in a bustling European city, I developed a deep appreciation for the energy and vibrancy of urban life. This experience continues to influence my artwork. Since moving to Virginia, I’ve become particularly drawn to the scenic beauty of the Shenandoah Valley mountains and the ocean beaches. Living in the suburbs, I find inspiration in the vast landscapes and patterns of the surrounding countryside.
My artistic journey began as a child when I discovered a passion for drawing and excelled at creating geometric shapes with colored pencils and watercolor. I experimented with mixing different materials to achieve a thicker texture similar to oil paints.
Painting is a true passion, and I dedicate most of my free time to honing my craft. I believe there’s always room for growth and improvement in every aspect of life. Besides painting and traveling, I enjoy reading classic literature and staying active.
I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support of my family and friends on my artistic journey. My paintings reflect my inner emotions and experiences. They are often bright, passionate, and full of love, which is a driving force in my art. Some of my paintings, with their more subdued tones, offer a glimpse into my inner world and emotions. My art is a reflection of who I am and the experiences that have shaped me. I hope you enjoy my work and appreciate the journey that led to its creation.

I’m captivated by the expressive power and vibrant energy of Impressionist and Expressionist styles. The bold colors, loose brushstrokes, and emphasis on capturing the fleeting nature of light and emotion deeply resonate with me. These styles allow artists to convey their unique perspectives and feelings in a way that is both visually stunning and emotionally evocative.
